The goal of the Athletics Master Plan at Dartmouth was to develop a strategic and comprehensive facilities plan to support a holistic approach to all varsity student athletes and teams in their pursuit of excellence.

JMZ assessed the quantity, quality, functionality, suitability, location, and allocation of interior varsity athletic space in 24 buildings, including support areas used for locker rooms, strength training, lounges, equipment rooms, offices, and recruiting spaces. JMZ evaluated how well existing spaces serve the needs of the institution and determined their capacity to adjust to future needs. Space allocation concepts, cost estimates, renderings, and a phasing plan were developed as part of the final document.

JMZ is now designing the first two capital projects to emerge from the master plan.
