SUNY Potsdam
Bishop Hall is part of a large complex of five connected multi-story buildings that serve as home to the prestigious Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam. The overall music program environment has been enhanced through the addition and renovation of acoustically appropriate music rehearsal spaces, creation of modular practice rooms, and a new accessible entrance to the building from the parking lot. The building complex was plagued with low floor-to-floor heights on the basement level, extensive hazardous materials, and building envelope challenges.
Deep Energy Retrofits included a new geothermal well field and energy-efficient HVAC equipment that serve the entire Crane complex. New ceilings, lighting, and life safety systems were also provided, and asbestos was abated throughout.
