SUNY Plattsburgh
As part of a statewide effort to renew dated dormitories, we worked with SUNY Plattsburg and DASNY to transform Wilson and Whiteface Residence Halls into safe, healthy, modern living environments. While maximizing bed count, our designs provide new recreation and collaborative spaces to support student interaction and community building. The interior spaces are enhanced by natural light and capitalize on views of the nearby Adirondack Mountains. The renovations include measures to improve the buildings’ energy performance and provide a comfortable environment for students.
We have collaborated with SUNY Plattsburgh on planning and design assignments since 1998 and prepared the Student Housing Master Plan that led to the renovations of Wilson and Whiteface. Our other work on the campus includes renovations of a former gymnasium to become the Sibley Center for Neurobehavioral Health where Alzheimer’s Disease and other neurological issues are studied and treated.
