With the introduction of student housing and rapidly increasing enrollment, the Student Services Center & Auditorium Addition and the Renovations will provide FLCC with much needed space. The 82,000 square foot addition will house the new “One-Stop Student Service Center,” a new 440 seat multipurpose auditorium, Student Life offices, student lounges, a new 450-seat dining hall with kitchen and servery. When these functions are relocated to the addition, there will be two phases of renovation. The second floor of the main building will be renovated to add 15 new smart classrooms, an expanded Music Department and new media labs for the Communications Department. The third floor will see the addition of new labs for Anatomy & Physiology, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology as well as the renovation of an existing Biology Lab. The renovations include new related prep rooms and fume hoods will be upgraded. Two new computer labs will also be added on the third floor.
